Antique Heart Pine
Harmony Exchange offers on a limited basis resawn antique heart pine flooring. By reclaiming beams and timbers from century old buildings, and resawing it we are able to offer the ultimate in flooring. The long leaf yellow pine was almost totally clear cut from existence by 1920. Now the only source for this unique wood is the careful salvage of time seasoned timbers from old buildings. No new trees are ever cut to manufacture this flooring.
There is a special feeling of having a floor knowing that no new trees were sacrificed to achieve its exquisite look.

Heart Pine Flooring
Heart Pine flooring is the heartwood of new pine trees. Many of our clients prefer the unique characteristics of the variations of darker heart wood and lighter colored sapwood. Obviously, new heart pine does not have the character marks that antique resawn wood sometimes does, but it will gradually develop a lovely color over the coming years.
Heart pine flooring is a favorite because of its dark heart and light sapwood contrasts.
