The 6x12 T&G stack log is an excellent choice for traditional Appalachian style exterior and interior with chink slot, or Canadian style, heavy V-Joint inside and out. Either style can also be ordered hand hewn for a more rustic look. With the Appalachian style (Type 1) chinking is used to fill the chink slot, just as with old time log cabins. Corners can be Dovetail or Butt & Pass. Choose from smooth planed, rough sawn or hand hewn inside and outside surfacing. Also available with or without chink joint on inside or outside.

All log systems can incorporate a high quality foam tape between the log courses to ensure an energy efficient home. For fastening the logs together, builders usually insert lag bolts into smaller logs and thru-bolts into larger logs. Harmony Exchange also estimates and provides all the hardware necessary for your project. For optimal stability, you can use Compression Pak Assemblies in conjunction with your fasteners.

The Saddle Notch log is growing rapidly in popularity. With its traditional solid log corners and round log look both inside and out, it has the true "log look".
